Pricing: is it still a competitive lever

Wednesday, September 17, 2008 was held in Milan in Assolombarda, with the collaboration of AISM Italian Marketing Association, a seminar on: "The pricing : it is still a competitive edge? .

The seminar illustrated the influence of marketing levers, including pricing, the level of competitiveness, deepening the differences between a value-based pricing and pricing based on costs and through examples of best practices applied in real cases.

• Oscar Pallme , management consultant, talked about strategy and value management, highlighting the key methodological standards for the proper management of the strategic approach and generated value for customers;
• Andrea Rossi , management consultant and partner innovActing, spoke of Value Based Pricing, highlighting the importance of listening and the formulation of customer value proposition and pricing based on the value attributed to the different elements of the target;
• Paolo Radi , Category and Customer Marketing Director Unilever, presented the case of the real pricing in the consumer packaged goods, they have been brought to light new competitive challenges in the retail sector and GDO;
Chiara de Caro, founder of Pickwicki.com has presented the case of the real pricing in the start-up of online services, in which he explained the pricing of new paradigms of Web 2.0 initiatives based on the sharing of real value with customers / users.
